My first DXpedition in 2010 to Whitehorse was about $5,500.  This includes my airfare, food, my cabin, buying cold weather gear, the rental car and shipping three Storm brand cases and three, square forty-two length architectural drawing tubes of parts to Whitehorse.   The square tubes contained the antenna and its mounting (base) hardware, which was a nonpenetrating satellite roof mount.

I will not be purchasing any cold weather gear for the 2011 DXpediton, so that will fortunately save a few dollars.  Plus I am going to be traveling a lot lighter in 2011 from a power supply perspective and more details to follow on that aspect as they develop.

Like in 2010, my objective is to activate VY1 for the 2011 running of the American Radio Relay League RTTY Roundup.  In addition, I hope to provide a needed multiplier from VY1 to those who are participating in the 'test and to confirm VY1 for you via a nice QSL card.

You can send a contribution of any amount to my U.S. mailing address.  I do thank you in advance for your support.  My information can be found at www.qrz.com
